I bought this E586 MiFi because I have a wifi iPad and iTouch and I get really fed up looking for wifi hotspots when I'm out and about. It arrived very quickly and I have to say I'm delighted with it as expected. It connected up to my PAYG sim card instantly and the speed of accessing the internet is excellent.
The fact that it's unlocked is ideal as I'll be travelling abroad soon and will just buy a local PAYG sim instead of forking out a fortune for roaming charges. I won't have to spend money to get the 3G version iPad, I can use it for my wifi ipad for 3G network! So overall, a great product and great value for money.

This little Gadget e586 huawei router is a real must have for all which own a iPad WiFi only device. It can turn your wifi iPad to 3G iPad and more than iPad 3g. It is simple to configure and offers the ability to use which ever provider you want.

Excellent router. I have just moved house and needed a mobile wifi device while I am waiting for the broadband to be installed. I ordered this Huawei E586 following a recommendation from a friend. I had the system up and running in 5 minutes. I insert my t-mobile sim card and it connected and found 3G broadband straight away. To connect to the internet I turned on networking and entered the wifi key that was provided on the inside cover of the device. Within 5 minutes I have connected my iMac, iPads and iPhones and they all have pretty good internet speed. I am sending this review using this device now.
Great product, highly recommended!

I bought this E586 MiFi to work with my 3G-less iPad and have been using it for the last few weeks with the sim card from my first generation iPhone.
It works very well. Indeed, it is much easier to use than I had expected. It's simply a case of whipping the sim card out of the iPhone and putting it into the dongle, firing it up, entering a code once, and away you go.
All in all, a great little piece of kit.
